I had this exact same issue. I'm sure that the OP has long since moved on, but I'm posting a link to the Dell ftp page that provides the driver that he and I both needed, so that it can maybe help some poor future sap who also needs to get that 1501 wireless card working in XP.

Anyway, the one at the very bottom of the "Network - Driver" section is the one that worked for me; it's R294109. FYI, my computer is actually an E6420 (as opposed to an E6410 like the OP), but I'm still reasonably confident that this is the proper driver for all such similar Latitude models with 1501 wireless.

By the way, in case the OP ever reads this, I loved your response to KirkD. Only an idiot is quick to download drivers from questionable sources, and a person managing multiple computers at a company has to be doubly careful about what he/she does or doesn't install.

Yes Kirk, I am a total NOOB and didn't do any sort of searching at all.  Heck, I am not even aware as to what the web is.  Next time I will make sure that I specify excatly what it was that I have done so far, with a complete list of websites and even the specific pages that I have viewed.

So you want me to use a website that is registered to someone in the British Vrigin Islands to download a peice of software.  My, that doesn't sound like it is dangerous at all.  Heck, I should probably use this site to get the all drivers I need for my servers instead of Dell's own website, because we all know that is a good idea.

I appreciate the effort Kirk, really, but I don't appreciate the patronizing manner in which the information was relayed. Also, the information that was provided was not all that helpful.  A link to a website with poorly worded English should have raised flags.  I know it does for me.

For future reference, I do work for a publicly traded corporation.  This means that I must be very certain that the files I am getting are legitimate and from a trusted source.  We have had a virus run over our network before, and I am not interested in a repeat performance.
