If you have a few more specifics we can probably figure out what's going on. Are you receiving an error? Does the application crash? How much data do you have backed up?

 

Before you files begin to download, the server has to prepare everything (the files are all condensed into a single file for download). If you have a lot of data saved it could take a little while before it is ready to actually transfer.

I would expect 11 GB to take a pretty considerable amount of time to download. The Datasafe data center is obviously extremely high traffic so you're competing with a lot of other people for bandwidth.

 

It's interesting that the status bar did not move at all. Have you tried initiating the restore via the website? You can select to have the server prepare your files for download and then you would just click a link to download the file (which is a zip) and the transfer should begin immediately.

 

If you are concerned that the restore really isn't starting you should contact customer support.

I have 11G saved.

 

It connects fine and estimates that it will take 13+ hours to download.  Then nothing happens on the transfer even after leaving it overnight (about 7 hours).  There is a countdown and a bar, the countdown never starts and the bar never moves.

 

I do not receive an error message. 

 

Why are you trying to do a complete restore from DataSafe, rather than from the recovery partition on your hard drive - or by using the OS disk?
