DELL INSPIRON 5520 POWER PROBLEM
When I switch ON my laptop, only the WiFi light turns on and nothing else and not any other sounds. After this, I could not turn off using power button so I have to remove battery/plug out the power source. The same happens when I try this only with battery or charger. I have tried long pressing power button. Did not help. Could this happen due to DC jack damage ??
Note: The battery light turns up for charging when I use power source + battery.

Hi Seenu,
It looks like an issue with the system board you will have to replace it.

Hi Seenu,
The system board consists of power part and output part. The power part seems to be working as the battery is getting charged. It can be an issue with either the memory or the system board. So you can try booting the system with a known good memory or you may have to replace the systemboard if replacing it with a memory does not fix the issue.
I have re-seated the components and it did not make any difference.
The external monitor also does not work since, the Laptop does not even boots up and no sounds.
Only the Wireless light and battery charging light (when battery n power connected) is ON when Power button is turned ON.

Hi Seenu Rx,
I would suggest you to connect an external monitor to check if the system is switching ON.
I also suggest you reseat a few components, like memory, hard drive, optical drive, wireless cards and see if that make a difference.You may refer to manual in the link below for removing and reseating of components.
