Dim screen on battery power
Just got a dell XPS M1330 laptop with Vista Ultimate installed. Absolutely love the computer and the features but hate the dim display on battery power. I adjusted the brightness as much as it would go and also pushed the Fn button-holding it and pressing the up/down arrow keys. What else can be done to take care of this issue; or is this the nature of the beast. I have an old HP laptop from 2004 with XP and it does not dim at all on battery power.

Awesome!!!! That solved the problem. Push f2 when the system boots. Have to be quick though; and just go through the prompts. My system was set on factory preset #3. I put it all the way to 8. Thanks a lot.JD the Chicken
