I have an inspiron 8200 its old but it works until the display satrted getting flaky.

 

While booting up the display works for a few moments then goes dark.

I can just barely see the display if I angle it just right and if I change the settings ( resolution, colors, screen area) the display works after "hitting" apply for a few moments again until it blacks or darkens out again...anyone know what the heck is going on here.  I also tried downloading the latest video card driver.
