How to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager in XP????

I am trying to install the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager" driver update on my 1545, which as I understand it will get me SATA support.

The driver can be downloaded here from dell:

However the install instructions make no sense.  Or rather there aren't any.  It just says:

"Custom Instructions for R197861.EXE:

custom"

I've been working on it for hours and have learned a lot except for how to actually install it.  The driver above seems to be nothing more than some kind of floppy drive build (with INF and SYS and other files) for people to use when installing XP for the FIRST TIME, to be able to press "F6", then insert a floppy disk and tell it to get the drivers then DURING the install.  None of which helps me (I've ALREADY installed XP,  and my PC has no floppy drive anyways).

Does ANYONE know how to install this AFTER the fact??  Or what the tricks are to get SATA under XP for a 1545?  I actually did try manually "installing" the "iaAHCIi.inf" file from the 64 bit floppy build but that didn't work and I'm lost as to what to do.
