When I remove the rear cover, (with the power on button), there is a small cable on the left rear under this cover & next to the power board that is not plugged into anything. Does anyone know what this cable is used for?? The laptop seems to run A-OK. I removed the cover to try and tighten the hinges but no luck there as they were not loose. TIA

It's the connector for a bluetooth module.
Loose hinges usually require replacement (the part that usually breaks is part of the back cover assembly).
