Inspiron 1525 error code
My 15 month old not used alot 1525 comes up with the error code 0141. Hard drive. No drive detected. Is this a terminal problem or something simple? Pre-Boot system assessment complete. No diagnostic utility partition identified. Internal hard disk drive not found. Tried F1 but no joy. Or with F2 or F5. Any help appreciated.

Many thanks ejn63. Tried to reseat as suggested and no luck. Strange this would just go. All been fine up till now. UK based so will have to get onto Dell UK. Disappointed in product if hard drive is no good after this amount of time and use. Thanks again for your quick help.

Reseat (remove and reinstall) the drive. If it's then still not found, replace it with a new one. You can use any 2.5" 9.5 mm SATA notebook drive as a replacement.

If you didn't get a Windows CD with the system, you will need one. If you're in the US, see below. Outside the US, contact your local Dell office.
