Inspiron system's have various model like 5520, 1525 etc. Please share the exact model no. You may try the following steps.

First uninstall the touchpad software from Control panel:

• Click on ‘Start’
• Click on ‘Control Panel’
• Click on ‘Programs and Features’
• Look for the Touchpad software (Synaptics/Cypress)
• Right click and choose ‘Uninstall”
• Follow the on-screen instructions
• Restart the computer

Then uninstall the drivers from Device Manager:

• Click "Start"
• Right-click on ‘’Computer’’
• Click on ‘’Properties’’
• Click on ‘’Device Manager’’ in the upper left corner (if prompted to continue by the User Account Control) click ‘’Continue’’
• Expand ‘Mice and other pointing devices’, choose “Dell Touchpad”
• Right click -> choose ‘Uninstall’
• Restart the computer when prompted

Now, download and install the touchpad drivers our support site. Click on the link http://dell.to/ZkL7Jm -> type the service tag of your computer -> choose the operating system -> expand 'Input'. The touchpad driver would be mentioned as Synaptics/Cypress driver.

May I know the browser you are using (Internet Explorer,Google Chrome,Mozilla Firefox)?
Are you facing this issue with all the browsers?

I use firefox. Also I was on a web site and I hit some key and the size of the letters went small. I can barely see it. How do I get the font back to a viewable size?

Thank you for the response. I did some research and was able to find that a lot of users are facing this issue with Mozilla Firefox. Many users were able to fix the issue by uninstalling or turning off Omnibar extension. If you have Omnibar extension installed, try to turn it off. In case the steps do not work, you may try to uninstall and re-install Mozilla Firefox on your computer.
