I'm in the market soon for another laptop, and I'm looking forward to my first dual core system. This laptop will be used for development, so I tend to max things out in terms of memory, hard drive and screen space. However, I'm at a loss when comparing the Precision against the Inspiron. Pray tell, what are the fundamental differences other than a subtle shift in specs?

What am I missing? I'm a happy 3rd generation Inspiron owner, but I'm just looking at all of the options.
