Latitude D830 - Vista Aero Problem

I have a Dell Latitude D830 with a standard graphics controller (Intel 965 Express) with the current drivers. The problem is that Vista will not show the Aero interface. I have already rebuilt the system with Vista Business Edition multiple times. Anyone know whats up?

Is it not showing as an option when you right click your main desktop and select Personalize>Window Color and Appearance>Open Classic Appearance Properties for more color options (at the bottom)>Color Scheme>Windows Aero ?

Hi, you might have to run the Vista performance benchmark application. Sometimes that is needed to enable Aero.

Maybe you can't activate because XP display drivers are installed.

If you install Vista WDDM drivers be sure to install 7.14.10.1272 (v15.2.6) dated 05/11/2007 or older. Otherwise you suffer data corruption and loss with your D830:

Yeah, I tried all of that. I think it's the driver, and there's bound to be one updated this year. I guess i'll keep looking.
