Latitude lines on screen
My E4200 screen has started showing one and occasionally two vertical lines - always in the same place, each just one pixel wide, running from top to bottom of the entire screen.
Someone told me it may be a defective graphics card - which I can change for £75!
Someone else said it is just "bad pixels", and that changing the graphics card wont help.
How can I tell which?

Attach an external monitor to the system. If the lines show there, it's a faulty video chip - I don't think this system has a separate card, so that means a replacement mainboard.
If the lines don't show on an external monitor, replace the LCD display panel.
