microsoft word error

I have a inspiron E1505.  I have been having some problems with my microsoft word.  In the middle of working on a document, a error message pops up which reads runtime library error.  I lose my document and there is no way of recovering it. Can anyone help me.

You have to be more specfic as to what the error is.  Is it an error with Word or the operating system?

Have you tried to repair the installation of Word?  I would try that.

Speaking of word problems, I cant get my microsoft office to work on my new computer. Supposedly its a "trial" offer but the disk that was provided with the computer does not work when I am prompted to insert the disk.

the tech supports are stumped with it and trying to reach microsoft, well need I say more?

Anybody know how to fix this or why this happens?

Sorry, too little info to help.
If it is  a "trial offer" that usually means you must pay for it after a number of days, before it "cripples" itself.

Where did you get this "trial offer" ?

The software was supposedly loaded with my new computer, that I just set up a few days ago. When I try to run microsoft office I get prompted to insert the disk, which I do, but then the error message says I have the wrong disk, but that is the only disk that came with the computer...got me?

Often Microsoft Office products come installed but the system will ask for the disk. I have had this happen many times.

If your system does not recognize the disc you got, then it is a bad drive or a bad/wrong disk.

If the system recognizes other disks, then the disk they sent you is bad or wrong. Contact the seller and explain the problem.

You might want to strike F12 at boot up and run diagnostics to check the drive.
