Missing threads?

I just noticed on this board that there are a few recent threads listed, and then it skips back to February. The Portable / CD/DVD board exhibits similar symptoms, perhaps others.

I presume it's not just me. Did I miss an announcement of this technical difficulty posted somewhere?

Thanks, GM

Welcome to our nicer, newer, can't find anything at all because you have to wade through ALL of the notebook models now forum. I saw missing items weeks ago and post about it but only had a response of sorting. It was funny because when I was not logged in I couldn't see or even search for some threads but, when I logged in there they were. Some people didn't agree to what I saw but it can be recreated and this just doesn't sit well with me. I think they should also get rid of the XPS Desktop thread and see how the users like that. But then again it is their forum and they can do what they want, that is drive people off.

    GM,

I first noticed this happening yesterday, and sent an e-mail to the powers that be this morning. No reply yet, but at least now the Audio board seems back to normal.

    Now it isn't working again.

Now I'm not sure if it was working a few minutes ago when I said it was. Obviously I thought it was when I wrote that.

Thanks for the responses. It seems to be working properly yet again, or was a few minutes ago.

PS - Jimmy, the reverse chronological listing of threads on the main Portable - Audio page was (and is again) missing any/all threads between 08-13-2007 02:14 PM and 02-07-2007 07:17 PM.

What happened is we combined the XPS portable boards with these, I moved all of the messages over here. When a message gets moved it creates a new message ID which causes it to be moved to the top of the list.

I think combining the boards will get more peoples questions answered so it will be a good thing in the long run..

My post is gone too--no audio inspiron 1501, posted aug 12, another replied right after me, same problem, missing now too. Kinda like fixing a problem in the car by turning the radio louder...wait, you have to have audio for that solution.

All right, but why let posts from Feb float to the top. What another scr*wup, but we will deal with it in good humor as usual, I'm sure.

The posts from earlier this week, August 13, start on page 9 at this moment, at least on my Firefox browser.

Douglaslee, your post of Aug 12 is currently on page 10.

There is no way to prevent it other then not moving them and that was not an option.
