Modem problems

Hi, I have an Insperon B130 and i'm having some trouble with my internal modem.  I have dial-up and I play World of Warcraft.  Normaly, when I log into the game, the dial-up icon in the taskbar thing in the bottom-right corner of the screen will start flashing, indicating that data is being transfered.  The problem is, while my game is logging in, the dial-up icon will stop flashing at some point during my login which causes me to dissconnect from the game server, but I will still be connected to the internet.  I do know that the problem is not with my game or my ISP, because this problem has occoured with other programs and I have tried changing my ISP.  Thanks

Hi again, sorry for the somewhat jumbled message.  Anyway, like I said, I have dial-up and I play World of Warcraft(a game that is played over the internet), or, WoW.  When I log into WoW I get to a part where a loading bar appears and normally, when the bar gets to the end, the icon for my dial-up in the taskbar starts flashing, indicating that data is being transfered to the game server.  When the loading bar gets to the end, it takes a min. to accually play because my laptop isnt exactly "good" to play WoW and most of the time while i'm waiting to accually play, the icon for my dial-up connection stops completely.  As I said in my previous post, I know that the problem is not with WoW or my ISP, seeing that this has happened with other programs and I have tried changing my ISP.  An interesting note is that this does not happen with my parents desktop computer.  It seems it's just with my notebook.  Oh, and another thing is that I have tried playing over high-speed Wi-Fi, but I end up encountering the same problem.  If this message is a little confusing too, sorry, it's kinda hard to explain:smileysad:.  Thanks
