I just got a Dell laptop from a friend,  It was sold to me "as-is" and only came with the power cord.  I need to reset it back to factory settings because the OS is corrupt but I don't have a restore disc or a way to make one from the laptop.  I fear my only option would be to go out and buy Windows 8 but I'm hoping that someone else has a less expensive (free) option for me.
