Try to find someone with a compatible model and try their AC Adapter.  Or else try your AC Adapter on someone else's computer.  On the bottom their will be a PA-x number telling you if the adapter is compatible.   Does the green light on the adapter come on?  Could be a motherboard but I recommend trying another adapter first.

If you got it a month ago you should contact Dell and get a replacement Battery or AC Adapter.
