No microphone jack?
I was gifted a Windows 8 Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series, and was happy with it except for one issue: it has no microphone jack, it has an audio one, though.
I need that microphone jack for my Turtle Beach Earforce X12 headset! I record videos with my friend and I think my problem will stop me from doing this.
If there is no solution to my problem is there an adapter or converter I can use to get both jacks?

Hello. For the past few years Dell has been putting a single headset jack into its laptops. The headset jack can use the microphone that is built into a smart phone type of headset that terminates in a single 4 pin plug (TRRS). There are some adapaters available that might work with regular mics with TRS plugs. See section 6 of the Headphone Jack FAQ for details.
If you need more help in the future please include the full model name of your laptop. The Inspiron 15 models are
