Solved!
Go to SolutionNow trying out XPS 13
Hi, I'm back!
Had to return the XPS L702x too many issues. Now I have just rec'd my xps 13 and have been using it for 24 hours.
Fan noise is VERY loud and constant, WHY? This is ridiculous if Dell thinks this is acceptable.
Also, again with the connectivity issues with the wireless. Losing the connection all the time,,,,,I open the network centre and see the red X inbetween internet and home network. So i click diagnose and there are no issues ? OOOOOooooook.
Then a balloon pops up in the bottom corner that says intel my wifi technology can't be found, but then it can be found.
I don't want this my wifi technology even on my computer, i just need regular, plain old wireless. I would hope that is not too much to ask.
Also seems to lose the internet connection every time i close the lid. That doesn't seem right. and then it sits trying to reconnect over and over, or it then has limited connectivity! oh geez.
I do not have this problem on my macbook, either iphone or ipad, why am i having it with this xps 13?
Please i need some help with this or a different perspective.
Thanks,
Kam

Kam,
Sorry I missed about the wireless issue.
Hit the Windows Key and the R keys at the same time. Type
systeminfo.txt or systeminfo
REMOVE THE PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here. (Preferred)
or an ipconfig /all log and maybe it will reveal something.

Dear tugela01, I'm sorry if I offended you with my post. I do not see any solutions in your reply, why is that?
If it is SO important to you, I do live in a house with a partner and a child. I didn't mean to infer that all these devices were mine and I certainly was not gloating. I can use any of the devices in my house that we have purchased. Our son can use them too, weird eh? A family with more than one device?! wow! how strange!
Hi PudgyOne,
Thanks for your reply. I updated all the drivers that were both optional and recommended for my exact service tag #, but i am not sure which BIOS version I have now. I am unsure how to check which version I do have and if it needs updating how to find that update.
Thanks,
Kam.

Kam,
Try updating the BIOS. There was a BIOS released to correct this issue.
