Numeric keypad

How do you "turn on" the numeric keypad on the Inspiron 6000? - holding Fn for every number keyed is not efficient.

There is an option in the BIOS setup to remove the requirement for Fn key to be pressed. I do not recall the exact details as I do not have my i6000 with me.

First, you need to restart your computer. Tap F2 in order to enter Startup (BIOS). For my Inspiron 600m, it's page 4 of 7, but find the topic "Enable Keypad" and select "By Numlock". Push Esc to save changes and reboot the computer. That's it!
