RE: XPS M1330
i purchased dell xps m1330 almost 1 yr 4 months ago. 7-8 months ago, i updated the NVIDIA GPU after that the fan of the laptop started to make noise. Few weeks ago, my computer failed to start. when i switch on the laptop, only the blank screen will come. After that i realised that the fan is not working at all. can you please tell me what is the issue?? i have read that on the blog (http://en.community.dell.com/blogs/direct2dell/archive/2008/09/12/nvidia-gpu-update-limited-warranty-enhancement-details.aspx) that the warranty for this issue has been extended for 1 more year. is that true?

Could be a faulty fan, or a faulty mainboard - neither of which is covered. Only the video chip itself is covered. To replace that, they'll have to replace the entire system board - try that first.
