Replace LCD Panel broken
Hi, everyone.
My Inspiron e1505 LCD panel has broken from an accident. The Dell Customer Service recommend me to return my laptop to Dell Repair Facility. But I'm working now in France it's very dificult to return it back to Dell. I want to order and ship a new panel from Dell to my friend in US. Is it possible? Is there someone who did the same thing? Who have some idea for my trouble? Please, show me the way!
- Thanks very much for your opinion, it mean that it's possible I can order it and ship it to me. Can you inform me how about the payment for a SWXGA+ (with Dell's truelife and ultrasharp technology)?. Because there are some site in my region can solve my problem with under 200 euros for a glare type, good quality brand new panel, but the it isn't provided by Dell.If I order a LCD panel, it may be good packed for a long shipping?
- You'll have to ask Dell about the specifics. If you do buy a panel from a third party, be sure it's the exact same model as you have now - panels and connectors are not standardized, and a panel of the same size and resolution but different make will likely not work.
