Scanners

Does anyone have any experience with the Microtek I900 photo scanner as compared to the Epson 4870. Any problems and the advantages or disadvantages.

Check the product reviews for each of those scanners via the Internet. The Microtek is used in our media lab and its does a good job.

We personally use a HP 6300c and a Epson 836XL, both are very good for our work.  It really comes down to what you plan to scan and what particular results are you looking for.

If you do high resolution work like a graphic artist, then get a 32bit scanner, but be prepared to pay a premium price.
