spdif problem
I have the xps 1530 with the x-fi xtreme audio soundcard because I wanted an optical out spdif. Here's the problem...powerDVD sees the HDMI port as the only spdif output on the system. All the drivers are installed just fine and I can use the spdif output on the x-fi just fine in windows. But powerDVD doesn't recognize it as an spdif. When I disabled the HDMI audio port in the vista sound control panel, it completely removed spdif as an audio option in powerdvd. Anybody know how to make the x-fi the default spdif port? I can set it as the default output device, but powerdvd still ignores it unless I set it to 2 speakers....but then it's downmixing the sound to stereo. Any ideas? Thanks
