Unwanted bloatware
I just opened my Inspiron M5030 laptop. I am not very computer literate. I am wondering which software is unnecessary from the preinstalled software. I have already deleted the best buy software, but I don't have a clue about the rest. I have read online that this comes with alot of bloatware. However I have not found a list onlie of the software that is considered this. Help please.

It's hard to say what you can delete - each system might be a little different than the next. And what some call bloatware, others call essential. For instance, some computers come with McAffee antivirus. Some people dislike this version of antivirus for whatever reason and will call it bloatware. Others will love it.

Usually Bing is preinstalled, McAfee, Dell Stage Roxio Creator starter. I got rid of all of these but ended up performing a clean install as was very disappointed with my factory settings performance

It is not true that today's Dell computers come with much bloatware. That refers to earlier systems before computers were setup using an image file. Just use and learn about your new computer and Windows 7 and don't delete any programs until you are familiar with everything. Windows Help is a good tool. Look up anything there.
