I would like to suggest you few steps that can fix the issue:-
1. Press + to enable or disable the touchpad.
2. Upgrade to the latest Touchpad drivers and BIOS from the support site. You can refer to the following link and select the correct Operating System :-
3. Change the Sensitivity Settings for the Pointing Device from Control panel - Mouse - Device Settings - Dell Touchpad tab.
4. A few of touchpad features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties.
5. Run custom diagnostics on Dell PC Checkup. Click on Start – type Dell Support Center – when the Support Center opens up please select PC checkup - Custom diagnostics – touchpad test. In case if the Dell Support Center is not loaded, please follow the link to download the application:-
