XPS M1210 reconfigurable Jacks Problem

Hello I have a Dell XPS M1210 running XP MCE, everything is kept up to date as far as I am aware. One of the last things I was updating was the Sound blaster recommended update with the Sigmatel driver optional update R122161.exe

With the old Sigmatel Driver I got a pop up window to configure the audio inputs on the front of the laptop. There was also an icon in the control panel which I believe had a similar setup to the popup window. After the update, I still have the Sigmatel Icon in the control panel, but with a more basic interface, just a tick box to allow reconfigurable pop ups, which is ticked. However, since the update, I never get a pop up no mater which jack I use on the front of the laptop, and I can’t seem to get the middle jack to work anymore. I had the one on the left configured when I installed the new Sigmatel driver and I think that is the reason that the left jack still works.

I think I might revert back to an older driver? Any other suggestions?

PS I have been all the way through the forum on Audio issues and nobody seemed to have a similar problem.
