XPS M1530 Overheating Problems

Hi, i recently bought an XPS1530 gaming laptop and it is already causing problems. I got the laptop about a month ago and it has been working fine up until then, until a few days ago when it began severely overheating whilst I was playing one of my games. The temperature was so hot that it would be painful to touch and the laptop would automatically turn off and restart, presumably to prevent any melting of internal parts.

Im not an expert in the technical side of laptops, I darent try take mine apart incase i damage it. So is there any suggestions you may have as to why and how I can solve the problem.

Oh, and if you were wandering, my laptop should be able to handle the game I am playing with ease so the problem is not due to lack of power to handle the game.

Please reply with a solution. Thanks in advance.

Edit: It sounds to me like the fan is not running at full capacity, especially when the temperature gets really high.

Perhaps it is the fan but I suggest you log your concern with tech support and get anything that needs reapiring done under warranty.
