2001FP USB problems..

Ok I have already
* Checked that my monitor is powered ON.
* Reconnected the upstream cable to my computer.
* Reconnected the USB peripherals (downstream connector).
* Switched off and then turned on the monitor again.
* Rebooted the computer.
* Checked that your computer is USB 2.0 capable.
* Verified USB 2.0 source on your computer.

And The Usb devices will still not work on my Dell 2001FP like they do when connected to any other Hub or directly to the Usb ports on my tower.

I have Windows Xp professional.
Are there any drivers that dell has to get these Usb ports on the LCD monitor working correctly?

    Jaczz,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

There are no drivers for the monitors usb ports. What devices have you tried in the ports?

I have tried a mouse, keyboard, scanner, printer, camera dock and a Wireless recviver and nothing works.

I have even tried just connecting one up at a time as well...

    Any suggestions?

That monitor should have come with an Installation CD, it could be that you just need to install the
appropriate software to make the computer works along with the features your monitor has.

:emotion-2: Ok I know this is almost 4 years later but the 2001FP Monitor has 4 usb downstream connections and 1 upstream connection.

What you need is a usb plug that will fit the upstream connector ( it is one that connects to the back of most printers) on the bottom back and connect the flat usb connector to a port on your computer.

Then your system will install the necceassary drivers automatically and all 4 of your usb connections on the monitor will then work as the should.

Six years later, still useful information!
