If you are calibrating it for photographic use, I doubt if you are going to get satisfactory results. I just spent (wasted) 10 days trying to get my 2407 HC calibrated with a $1500 GretagMacBeth Photo SG system. I was using Match3 software and ColorEyes Software. Although I got excellent calibrations with low DeltaE's (.5 to .9), the vivid colors and highly saturated reds and oranges just were terrible for photographic work.
I really wanted this monitor to work out, I have a request into Dell to return this monitor right now. If anyone has a solution ... I am willing to try it.
Someone on POTN recommended using the new DataVision SpyderPRO3 which apparently is just out recently and said he was able to calibrate his 2407HC easily with the 3 version when the previous 2 and 2.2 did not provide good color calibration results---
Can anyone corroborate what he said regarding using the new Spyder??
