I just purchased this monitor, but I can't seem to get the colors right. The moniter doesn't have an "auto-fix" like most monitors and I'm getting tired of playing with it.
I use the color correction in the nVidia desktop to try and get it right, but it seems that color white is a wash out. It's always too bright or too dark. I know there must be a simple way to fix this.
Video Cards: Dual Asus 7900 GT (in sLi mode)
It did seem that I found a good setting last night, but when I turned on my machine this morning, it was bad again. Please help.
i just purchased this monitor and a xps m1710 laptop with the understanding that they would work but acording to nvidia they dont and dell says they do! seems im out in the cold as i cant find any help with this.

The room where you use the screen might have changing light (like windows). To make white look good at all times, you need to have the same lightning in your room and adjust after that. As alternative, you need to have different settings for different times of day. To adjust how white looks on your screen, you need to change the Kelvin (K) settings. Since the 3007 doesn't let you do that on screen, you need to enter the NVIDIA control panel. I don't think you have this option in the classical panel, so you need to use the new control panel. 6500K is the most normal preset. Adjust it up or down according to what white point thats best for your room light.
No sunlight in this room. It's the desktop that isn't quality. If the monitor is on (for a while) or after I play a game it improves. I'll look into the Kelvin settings and see if I can get it to improve. It's definitly a problem with white.
