Composite Quality on 2007FP

Hi,

Can anyone here give me some information on how good/bad composite video looks on the 2007FP?  Specifically I am looking at using it as a display for my PS2, is this destined to look terrible or does the resolution scaling work quite nicely?

Any help or pictures of it in action would be fantastic and greatly appreciated,

Thanks.

ive used it with my PS2 on the 2005FPW. it looks horrible if you have it stretch it, I mean absolutely horrible.

How about PiP?  Is there any setup in which it is playable?

I need a new monitor and something to plug my PS2 into, but I don't need a TV... This monitor seems like a godsend, in theory.

In PiP and even PbP it looked pretty good. maybe just set the picture to 1:1 mode.

    but stretched it looks horrendous

So you are saying that there is nothing inherently wrong with the composite input, its just that the monitor is much higher resolution than the TV that the signal is intended for?

If that's the case, and Pip/PbP are playable, then this screen is definately something I can warrant shelling out ~£300 for.

Theres nothing wrong w/ the component input, just like you said, what makes it look so terrible is the stretching of an image thats 640x480 to 1680x1050.

if you play it in 1:1, PiP or PbP mode, it should look great

As many already have reported, Composite and S-Video inputs are broken and don't work for a number of (especially older) devices.
DVD-players and newer gaming consoles will probably work fine, but most older consoles (SNES, NES, PS1) and computers (Amiga, C64, ...) fail with the video input.

So far, I have not received ANY response to these problems. I emailed the tech support and posted several times in the forums. No, I am not the only one with this problem.
