I just got a second monitor installed in tandem with my first. Now I have 2 issues.
1) The colors and brightness in one monitor seems sharper and crisper than in the second. I tried making all the setting the same in both monitors and still nothing.
2) Since installation, every so often one of the monitors will start to dim, and then brighten back up when I move the mouse there. It is annoying since I read from one and work on the other. Can I stop this power save feature? (as I assume that is what this dimming effect is)
Without the usage of a professional calibration system, matching even same monitor models is tough.
First reset them both in the OSD (On Screen Display), page 27 = * Press monitor Menu button to open the OSD * Go to Other Settings- Factory Reset * Choose Reset all settings
Then, tweak the primary to best color and brightness using the OSD- Color Settings- Preset Modes- Custom Color. Then do the same on the secondary to match it as close as you can get. You can also try disabling DDC/CI under Other Settings to see if stops the dimming.
Thank you Chris. I was trying to avoid color customizing each monitor separately as I thought a preset might make it similar. I changed the DDC/CI setting and I will see if it works. That dimming always seemed to happen at random. I did manage to get my screen remarkably close in color and hue. Thank you again.
