P2213, PSM loop
Hello everyone,
I have bought a used Dell P2213 and am trying to make it work with my AMD RX 6600 (as second monitor) connected via a DisplayPort cable.
The display is recognized by the computer and shows up in the device manager. But it is stuck in an endless loop of "entering power save mode" messages.
I tried using a different DisplayPort cable, changing the power supply cable, using a different port on my graphics card and ran the self diagnostic test on the display.
I also changed the Power-Plan settings, even the extended ones with the advanced USB.
Funny thing: if I disconnect my main display and reboot, the P2213 shows the boot screen and everything. It goes black as soon as Windows boots up and again is stuck in the power-saving-loop. So the display does work, it must have problems with a Windows setting
I can't find the possibility to enter any OSD screen and am at a loss what to try next.
Can anyone help me?

Did the seller mention any issues with the 10 year old P2213?
Is there another PC there with DP out port to test that same DP to DP cable to the P2213 DP in port?
Does the AMD RX 6600 have multiple DP out ports to test?

I had the same problem. However, it was solved by using any lower resolution @ 75 Hz refresh rate.
Note:
1- using any lower refresh rate will keep the problem as it is.
2- The monitor is a secondary monitor for me.
3- If it is a primary monitor you can use any display port - DVI connector (from the monitor side) to set the resolution and then you can use the display port again normally.
