Just today the ordered S2421HGF monitor arrived. Great monitor so far, only the problem is I can't seem to activate Nvidia G-Sync? Inside the package was an HDMI cable, not a DisplayPort cable. It is a 1080p monitor, HDMI bandwith should be ok I think.

I also have an Alienware monitor where Nvidia G-Sync is working fine, though it is connected to DisplayPort not HDMI.

So am I correct to assume that the S2421HGF's Nvidia G-Sync function cannot be used with an HDMI cable? If so, why is there not a DisplayPort cable inside the package, when it clearly says that the monitor is Nvidia G-Sync certified on the storepage?
