Go to SolutionS2722DGM, picture issues, color and pixels
I have just got this S2722DGM to see what 1440p 120Hz on PS5 would be like. Yes, I know no HDR but I don’t use it just needed a faster response device then the 60Hz Smart TV I have. When I first got it it looked all good, then I noticed on the Dell website that you can download an INF file that contains a color profile so I installed it on a laptop.
Ever since I’ve did that, the picture looks terrible and I can’t for the life of me get it back to how it was when out the box, lol.
It’s like the PPI or DPI has changed blacks. They look grey and blue, white looks pink. The S2722DGM itself feels sluggish now dealing with anything.
I’ve tried restoring factory settings but it seems to not change it back. It’s like the new INF file has corrupted the EDID of the S2722DGM?
Any help would be appreciated as people at Dell told me to contact the manufacturers of my laptop. Just pass the blame and not heard back.

Hey Mike, got the same monitor about a month ago and had the same issue. For some reason, after installing the Dell Display Manager, the colors looked off, similar to what you described.
Turns out Windows Night Light got enabled for some reason. Maybe it's because of the driver, maybe it's a Windows thing, but after disabling night light and restarting the computer, the colors looked great again.

I’ve done that but it installed a color profile with the INF file and told the monitor to use the default setting of the laptop. Things still don’t look right even after removing both and restoring the monitor?

* In Windows 10, click Start
* Type color
* Click Color Management
* Click Advanced tab
* Change all to "System default..."
* Click Close

The driver INF file does not make a physical change to the S2722DGM hardware.
The driver INF file only installs itself into the Laptop Windows operating system =
Description = This package contains the Dell S2722DGM Monitor driver. The monitor driver enables the monitor to communicate with the operating system by supplying configuration information in the form of an INF file. The operating system uses this file to apply features and settings.
The only thing that could make physical change to the S2722DGM hardware would be a firmware update. Which we do not provide.
Uninstall the driver INF file from Windows. Restart the Laptop when done and retest.
