I got a u2312h and used it flawlessly with a Dell Latitude via DP. But If I try to use my wife's previous generation Inspiron 11z viaHDMI I get random behavior. Sometimes I get image with green lines, sometimes it works ok, sometimes I get nothing at all (the monitor is detected but no video is displayed).
The same behavior is seen if I try to use a PS3 and it is even worst if I try my HP envy pro (no video at all). I have tested with HDMI to DVI adapter with known good HDMI cables and also a DVI to HDMI cable with the same results.
The DP and VGA inputs work properly, but the DVI refuses to work with 3 different sources and several cables.
HDMI is going to want to do 1920x1080p. Do those systems support that resolution? I thought on the PS3 that you had to go into its menu and tell it to do that resolution.
Yes all 3 support 1080p and work properly connected to a TV. I also tested connecting the PS3, 11z and Eny to a Onkyo AVR and the AVR to the monitor.
That way I get video, but I see green lines every now and then. What really puzzles me is that the 11z works properly sometimes and sometimes I don't even get video.
