U2410 sRGB issue

Hi, I received mine 2 hours ago.
Anyway, I like the blacks, I keep it in sRGB mode, but I don't like that in Lagom black level test (http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php) all the blacks are displayed with grain and I can see them from square #6. I use brightness 50 / contrast 50.
What can I do to skip that grain but also to maintain sRGB color ?

It's made on 12 June 2009, made in Czech Republic, rev. A00

Thanks

Post a picture of what the test page looks like on your monitor so we can see the graininess.

    Hi,

I made 2 pictures so you can see the grain in sRGB mode, also in Adobe RGB it's the same, only in this 2 modes. In all other modes it seems fine.

    sRGB Mode:

Will email the lab and ask them to test this on a U2410. You have reset the monitor to Factory Defaults (Other Settings- Factory Reset) in the OSD?

Yes, I've tryed to reset to factory defaults and then choosed again sRGB, since I work with graphics and I need sRGB not Wide Gamut. The problem still persists.
The problem appears only in sRGB and AdobeRGB modes.

The test can be found here http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php

Until now from what I read in other users reports and what I have tryed it seems to be a Dell issue. :emotion-6:

    Hi ChrisM,

Any news from the lab regarding that dithering issue in sRGB mode ?
I'm working graphics oriented on that monitor and it's very disturbing that dithering.

    Thanks

We are testing a new firmware now. No ETA on when this will go live. Once live, it will take some to rev up the monitors in the hubs.

So a change of firmware will fix the dithering in srgb/argb mode.

But what does this mean for people already with a monitor?

When the monitors in the hub are fixed, you will initiate a monitor exchange with Technical Support if you have a service tag number or Customer Service if you only have an order number.
