U3419W, wireless mouse latency

I have a desktop and a laptop (Dell) attached the U3419W. The desktop has zero problems but the mouse behavior with the laptop is bad. It is jerky and latent. My only fix is to plug with receiver directly into the laptop which obviously not a solution.

The laptop is connected via USB Type-C and the desktop is connected via USB and HDMI. I have tried using USB and HDMI for the laptop and that does not work either. My keyboard is wired and works fine on both devices.

Have you tried plugging the mouse receiver into the side USB ports? Or connecting it via a USB extension cable?

Many people (myself included) have had trouble with wireless receivers and other USB accessories in the rear ports.

I tried an extension on the bottom port but didn't even think to try the side ports. The side port did the trick. Thank you!
