I'm the proud owner of a shiny new ST2421L monitor and very nice it is too. Unfortunately I can't persuade the updated driver for my video hardware (Intel Embedded stuff on a Dimension 2400) to install. All it does is complain that one of the file is missing or corrupt without giving the merest clue as to which file is causing the problem. All attempts to contact Dell technical support by email have failed as their website insists on downloading some sort of system scanner before it will let me send them an email and in spite of the web site announcing that the telephone support service is available until 8PM it is apparently closed - It's 7:33 now. I'm decidedly unimpressed. If there are any techy people reading this the driver downloaded is R106456. Simon Crouch
Thanks very much for the speedy reply. That seems to have worked. Unfortunately the range of screen sizes has gone down, not up and I still can't get 1920x1080 screen resolution. The properties box says the video hardware has only got 64MBytes available, but I thought I'd increased it in the BIOS settings.
Do you have any suggestions for how I get the onboard graphics to support 1920x1080 resolution?
I appreciate the machine is pretty ancient, but with 2GByte of memory and a new hard drive last year it still performs pretty well for what we want. I suppose I could put a different graphics card into it. How difficult is that?

Re-download this to your desktop. Disable all antivirus software. Double click the file on your desktop. What happens?
