I am not sure if this is supported. You could try the following.

    1. Ensure that your latest bootstrap backup and index backup is on tape.
    2. Move the tapes to your new backup server and use mmrecov to restore your bootstrap.
    3. Use nsrck -L7 to restore your indices.

I have done this across versions of Unix but never from Unix / Linux to Windows so I am not sure if it will work.

    Thank,
Yes, I had used the mmrecov for migrate but it has long time to scan and nsrck.

Do you have method for fast migrate?.

    Suwan,

If you look at the EMC docs etc, then you will find the only truly supported approach is to re-scan your library once you have re-created the config.

    Hi Suwan,

EMC recommand that you use professional service if you want to do a platform migration. But I can share you some of my experience.

I did a couple of (Solaris, Windows) to Linux 64bit migration. Overall I didn't get any problem except in the /nsr/res files which contains invalid path to some invalid binary. but this you just need to fix it by hand.

If you are using same HW, you can grab the index and mm "as is", open your networker, delete all your libraries and redo a jbconfig. There is also license that you have to migrate. (fix the license before doing the jbconfig).
