I have Legato Networker 7.5 SP1 version. When a tape is in recyclable Mode(so the expiration date passed and the tape is expired) NW should automatically label it ? This is what I remember from previuos version. Now I don't have Admin rights on the server ( I can only manually label tapes) and what happen is that I often need to label manually the expired tapes because NW stops working asking for new tapes even if there are expired tapes that are in recyclable Mode.Is this a normal behaviour ? Thanks for your help.
If the recyclable tapes are in the same pool as the one required, then NetWorker should relabel these automatically. However if they are in a different pool to the one required and recycle to/from pools is selected for both pools you still need AutoMedia Management to be enabled for NetWorker to perform the label operation. AutoMedia Management is required for this and "scratch" volumes, otherwise you will be prompted for manual label.

Hope that helps,
