Networker 8.2 precmd postcmd
Dear all,
I experienced some problems with savepnpc, so I'm trying to configure Pre Command and Post comand as nsr* in %\bin\
When I run the job , pre backup command works but :
"Cannot run nsrpost: The system cannot find the file specified. (Win32 error 0x2)"
command 'nsrpost -s server -c nsrpost_script.bat -j 134774' for client CLIENT_1 exited with return code 76
I've tried to use diferent scripts and also pointed to nsrpre_script.bat that works, but no luck.
Seems there's something wrong becaus I can't find "nsrpost" command, I cant' find that nsrpost either in 8.2 or previous clients.
Any clues about this ?
Best regards,

Dear bingo,
I'm afraid you may be wrong, as in 8.2 "command reference guide" nsr_postcmd is included, but lack of information is a fact.
As far as I see, nsrpost is called by the save command, so its called by :
savegrp -D5 -l incr -c 501a -G BACKUP_GROUP
--- Unsuccessful Save Sets ---
* 501a:postcmd Cannot run nsrpost: The system cannot find the file specified. (Win32 error 0x2)
01/08/15 08:17:26.529207 501a:postcmd (1349573) Processing job state change from STARTED to ACTIVE
01/08/15 08:17:26.544807 Received job exit message
01/08/15 08:17:26.544807 Received job state change message
01/08/15 08:17:26.544807 Received job 1349573 state change message from ACTIVE to COMPLETED
01/08/15 08:17:26.560407 501a:postcmd (1349573) Processing job state change from ACTIVE to COMPLETED
84078:savegrp: command 'nsrpost -s -c script.bat -j 1349571' for client 501a exited with return code 76
90491:savegrp: 501a:postcmd failed.
83647:savegrp: ¨BACKUP_GROUP 501a:postcmd See the file S:\nsr\logs\sg\BACKUP_GROUP\1349573 for command output
Reply What could help is launching commands from client side, as client initiated or adhoc.
Something similar to
savegrp -l incr -c CLIENT -G GROUP
But executed from the client.
I found :
save -s NW_SERVER -g GROUP -LL -m CLIENT -a "device interface=data domain" -a "Data Domain interface=IP" -b Pool -q -W 78 -N "C:\\" "C:\\"
But it's not exactly the same , I thought to use psexec to NW_SERVER, but that would mean OS changes out of my scope.
Any ideas ?

1. nsrpost is not an EMC utility.
2. don't know what you are doing but obviously the script will be assigned as clientname (see '-c ...")
Please compare your configuration with one from another successfully running client.
