Networker notification questions

The 9.1 command reference lists an entry for nsr_notification but that executable is not anywhere to be found on the server. I the document incorrect or outdated, or am I missing a rpm or something? If you have this binary, please post `rpm -qf `.

On the subject of notifications, it looks like the event has moved from the Server -> Notifications -> Events to each individual policy. I think this was done on the move to 9.x, not sure. Anyways, here you can define notification for either "Completion" or "Error". What do you do if you want a different notification for completion vs error? The way the GUI is it only seems to let you define one. Is there some CLI way around this? And is there a way to globally define a notification for *ALL* policies on completion or failure and then overwrite that per policy if wanted?

Please be aware that all entries in the CLR (aka Manpages) starting with "nsr_" refer to NetWorker resources, not to commands.

The backup notifications are slightly different in NW 9.x.

By default 'notifications on policy level' is selected for a Workflow.

That means that you must setup a different policy if you need to use another notification.

In the 'Policy - Properties' window you can then specify whatever command to execute.

Ok, that makes sense on the man pages. I often forget that they document things other than executables.

On the notifications I think I understand...I might have to script something up to get something more robust.

    Thanks!
