we`ve done some changes and after that we get "XXX:NOTES: Request for usage. (notes_save_getopt|256|19|0)" error message by group initiated backup.
We`ve changed hardware and name of client. It was StorageNode in past so configured devices were disabled for backups and recover. No problem with that.
Then we deinstalled STN (7.2.2) and installed Client 7.3.5. Reconfigured Jukebox and removed old Devices. To change client resource name and get STN licence free we removed all Client Ressources and then renamed client-index directory to new name. After that we recreated client ressources with same client-id etc.
But now scheduled backups for NML are getting this error. File Level backups are running fine as well as manual backup and restore by NML Gui. This server is not using NML licence, but we have one left. No entry in nsrnml.log. I`ve activated debug level = 9. But debug file wasn`t created, but same error message.
nsrnotesv.exe -z
\nsrnml_config
command was added to Backup command and NOTES: as save set. NSR bin Directory was added to PATH variable.
Environment:
Windows 2003 SP2 (32bit) / Lotus Domino 6.5.6 / NML 3.0.1 / NSR Server 7.2 solaris sparc
because it is a Windows 2003 Server "save operations" was set to VSS:=off. Just removed that option for NML client ressource and backup is now running fine.

Hi Andreas,
From the error it looks like one of the following.:
a) a commandline option may be wrong,
you may want to check the savegrp output.
It shows the options networker uses to call the backup command.
b) have a look at the config file, check the Lotus {...} section for syntax and values.
If this does help, you may want to set Debug File and Debug Level in the config file e.g.:
NSR_DEBUG_FILE = "C:\EMC2_DEBUG.wri"
NSR_DEBUG_LEVEL = 8
cheers
