NW recover: cannot support multiple clients

Hi

Trying to recover a old saveset from way back in 2006

command used is

recover -s server -d destination -S SSID

Error is:

6519:recover: cannot support multiple clients, ssid 3516032769 from client 'hostname' and not 'null'

The client is no longer available, but is configured in Networker but not enabled

(cannot be enabled (not valid hostname)

Any sugestions ?

You can fool it with hosts table.

Hi

have tried that with an ip thats not in use, does it need to resolve to an ip thats online and has a nw client installed ?

Hi thanks for the tip as it led me in the correct direction to solve the issue.

The client was deleted a long time ago and when re-creating it the name was spelled wrong:

name_name instead of name-name

so I put an entry in the hosts file for both names to same ip.

Then made sure both names were in the alias list of the client.

This solved the issue
