This Host does not support browsing of its NDMP filesystem

Hi  I am getting the above error even though I have the tick in the NDMP box under app & modules for this client.

I am on networker 8.2.2.0

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

I am afraid that browsing a NDMP client is not possible as there is no NW client is installed on this host. Consequently there is no code which can be used to help.

nrgreen, I was intrigued by this... so I did a check...

    [root@foo ~]# recover -c filer.domain

No index was found for /root/. The current working directory is /.

So, in my case unless I misunderstood, I can do browsing.  This is using 8.2.2.6.

This looks like you are using linux. When you are running networker on a Windows 0s  2008 R2 and you try to browse the NDMP backup from the networker server  we get the following  The host does not support browsing of its NDMP file system

Ah ok, I don't have Windows backup server so I can't test it there.

    Hi

I am on windows 2008 R2 Standard. Service Pack 1

I have checked the NDMP under the the apps& modules tab for the client. I also have a service call open.

For a moment I thought there is a bug where NDMP client is treated as Windows client, but I just tried on Linux backup server to browse Windows client (from CLI) and it works (both browse and versioning).  I guess best approach now is indeed to have support call for this.
