VCB Backup

Hi,

I have configured VCB backup for some of the VM machines. I have follwoed the steps as per the screen shot guide. I have successfully tested the vcbmounter command. My setup detail is:

VM Host: SINMPX03

Physical Host: SINVPA01

VCB Proxy: SINMPE01

VCC:   SINMPA50

Backup Server: SINUPE01

While I run the backup from my backup server it shows error "SINMPX03 is unknown".

Any suggestions.

    I have logged case with support but till now I have not got any response from them. Meanwhile if someone can help on this, it will be great.

    Can you resolve SINMPX03 and is SINMPX03 exactly the name as seen in VCC?

    SINMPX03 is not included in DNS but i have made entry in host file and I am able to ping it with IP and hostname.

    Yes, in VCC it is showing the same name.

    Hi,

    I found out that while I use vcbmounter name:sinmpx03 it got failed but it is working fine with ipaddr:sinmpx03.  I updated the config.js for VM_LOOKUP_METHOD="ipaddr" which earlier was equal to "name". Now backup is running smoothly.
