Hi, all

 

I've just read that powerconnect 2716 hasn't fans (and 2724 has them). That make sense to me as my 2716's, rackmounted but with 1U free with them, get really hot.

 

(Presently, I've installed a 9cm fan, fixing it to the rack and blowing towards the switches; but I don't think that be a clean way of doing things)

 

Is that normal? Must (may) I let them go whatever temperature they "want"?
