I just got a new DELL inspiron 8600. Its wireless card is 1450

I am trying to set it up with my wireless router which is of Linksys (model wrt54g).

Whenever i try to connect to my router thru my dell laptop it just freezes the router and i am not able to

connect to internet from my other computer (which is connected by a wire to the router). THis is the strangest problem

ever i have seen. Anybody have a clue??
